Downscanner tracks live outage reports across more than a thousand services — but no list is ever complete. If something you rely on is missing, you can now request it in about ten seconds.
Where to Find the Form
Head to the Suggest a Service page. There is also a link in the footer of every page on the site, so you can get there from wherever you happen to be.
What the Form Asks For
Only one field is required. The other two are optional but genuinely useful:
- Service name — required. The official name.
- Link — optional. Helps us identify the right service when names are ambiguous.
- What is it about — optional. A short description of what the service does.
There is no account to create and no email address to hand over. Fill in the name, press the button, done.
Why the Link Helps
Plenty of services share a name with something else entirely. A link removes the guesswork and means your suggestion gets processed rather than set aside as unclear.
What Happens After You Submit
Suggestions go into a review queue — they do not appear on the site automatically. Before adding a service we check that:
- It is a real, publicly available service
- It is not already listed under a different name
- It has enough users to produce meaningful outage data
That last point matters more than it might seem. Downscanner determines status from the volume of user reports, so a service with very few users cannot generate a reliable signal. Widely used services tend to get added first, because they are the ones where community reporting actually works.
One Request About Privacy
Please do not include your name, email address, account details or anything else identifying in the form. We do not need it, and it is not useful for deciding whether to add a service. Keep it to what the service is.
Already Listed?
Before suggesting, it is worth checking the full list of monitored services — with over a thousand entries, there is a fair chance it is already there under a slightly different name.
And if a service you use is listed and currently misbehaving, find it and report the outage — that is what keeps the status data accurate for everyone else.
